So, have you been wondering where my Divas posts for 2018 have been? Yeah, me too. Let me tell you, the first two months of this year have been a challenge! Work is so busy, but I am ploughing my way through and sneaking a few minutes here and there to craft.
The biggest problem with the January 15th post is that it arrived late. So, since I wans’t going to make the “deadline’ anyway, it kinda sat for a few weeks (oops). I finally realized my tardiness when February’s kit showed up (also one day late to the post deadline), making my problem even worse.
Now, I have finally sat down to create with January’s kit. The theme was “New Year” and the kit had these GORGEOUS papers with gold accents. Loved them!
Here is my creation:

Now, the January kit had an interesting challenge. The kit included the calendar seen here, but we were to incorporate our own stamps and images to make a “sort of” New Year theme, however that was interpreted. I decided to make my little calendar with those snowflakes and add a bundled up Greeting Farm image.
January is always cold here in Edmonton and this year it has been REALLY, really cold. Not as much snow as we usually get, but these long stretches of freezing cold weather (I have to RUN to Starbucks for my morning coffee instead of my usual saunter!)
Sketch on this one came from Crazy4 Challenges, thought the base of their sketch may be tough to see under my image embellishments!
Hope you like it! Thanks for a great kit, Laura Jean.
