Use It Tuesday #69: Winter & Holidays

Welcome to the last Use It Tuesday challenge.

For the year? Unfortunately not.

If you pop on over to the Use It Tuesday blog, you’ll see the message from blog owner, Siobhan, that this will be the last Use It Tuesday challenge. After 3 years, she’s decided that the sun has set on Use It Tuesday and it’s time to move on to other things.

I started on the Use It Tuesday Design Team in June 2011, Use It Tuesday’s first design team. Our first challenge was Challenge #9 (60 challenges ago!!) and the theme was “Dies, Punches and Cutouts”. This was my creation way back when:

What a fun summer theme!

But, summer is NOT our theme this week. Just the opposite. We are celebrating “Winter and the Holidays” this week at Use It Tuesday.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash**

This week, I have a holiday card for you. I have been madly trying to get my holiday cards done this year, since I’m very, very behind. I’m happy to say, it’s been a creative week! I might not have to resort to store bought cards this year (gasp!). This card was created from some Stampin’ Up rub-ons I’ve had lying around the craft room for years. Four maybe? I also opened a 6×6 Christmas pad for this one.

Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website before noon (PST) on Friday December 20, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE069 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

It has been a blast, Users. Please continue to use your stash. If you miss us, just start back at the beginning of the challenges and work your way through. We’ll be here, just not with NEW challenges to keep you busy. 😉

Until next time.

Use It Tuesday #68: Anything Goes!!

Welcome to another Use It Tuesday challenge!

Our challenge this week is a favorite for both Users and the Design Team member alike!

It’s ANYTHING GOES week!!

This week, I’ve got a digital scrapbook layout for you. These pictures of sweet Claire are almost 9 months old now, but the real “stashed” supplies are the digital elements I used to create the page. I found a kit that’s been stored in my files since 2007 (yes, six years!!) for this one. The flowers and page title both come from that kit.

Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website before noon (PST) on Friday December 6, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE068 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

Have fun, Users!!

Use It Tuesday #66: Creatures

We know that there will be plenty of Halloween themed challenges out there and that not everyone celebrates the holiday. Therefore, this week at Use It Tuesday we’ve decided to use a theme that we think will enable everyone to play along…

Our theme this week is “CREATURES”. Whether small or big, furry or feathered, ghoulish or not. Show us your creatures!

I thought this unsuspecting frog and his princess were good for this creature challenge. This cutie has been un-inked since I bought him over a year ago. I also included some odds and ends from card kits I’ve been working with over the past while. The doily, flower and rhinestones were also rescued from kits.

Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website before noon (PST) on Friday November 1, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE066 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

Get your Creature on!

Use It Tuesday #65: Odds, Ends, Scraps & Pieces

Welcome to the first Use It Tuesday in October. Can you believe there are only three months left in this year?

This week, our challenge is called “Odds, Ends, Scraps & Pieces”. We’re asking you to pull out those things from your stash that are left over, last ones, where’d it come from, why do I only have one, etc.

I have a little of this, a little of that on my card this week. The papers are both scraps. The background was a piece I got in a stack of 6×6 ends and the flower piece is one of the last from a Basic Grey pad. I also used two buttons that have been in my stash for a very long time. Probably close to five years now.

Go Use It!

Use It Tuesday #64: Use Two Hoarded Items

Whew! It’s been a few weeks since I posted a new Use It Tuesday challenge. Remember, we always play over on the main Use It Tuesday blog (2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month). I try to get my post done here, but some weeks are more challenging than others and it just doesn’t happen.

This week, we’re asking you to pull out not one, but TWO hoarded items from your crafty stash and make us a beautiful project with them. That’s right, friends…it’s Use Two Hoarded Items week at Use It Tuesday.

This one is really out of the box for me. I found a card kit in my stash that’s been around for..I think a year…maybe longer and it had a very vintage feel with lots of odds and ends. Totally not my usual style, but I decided to see what I could do. Because I needed two times, I also pulled this beautiful ribbon out of my craft room and used it on the card. That ribbon has been hanging in a special spot for almost three years. I keep forgetting it’s there.

Now show me your stash! Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website before noon (PST) on Friday October 4, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE064 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

Have fun!

Use It Tuesday #62: Trends

Happy Tuesday!!

And, it’s another great Use It Tuesday challenge. This week, our challenge is TRENDS. What do you have in your stash because it was the “in” thing way back when? Maybe you didn’t buy it…maybe you WORE it and need to scrap it. 😉

I puzzled over this one for a bit, but then I found this un-inked “Keep Calm” stamp that I received and haven’t used yet. “Keep Calm” themes are EVERYWHERE these days (sometimes annoyingly so).

I thought it was a little cliche to use red, so I tried very hard to not use red in my creation. The corduroy brads are my favs and been hoarded for a very long time. The papers both came from my scrap stash.

Let’s see your trendy stuff. Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website before noon (PST) on Friday September 6, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE062 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

Have a trendy day!

Use It Tuesday #61: Un-Inked Stamp

It’s a Use It Tuesday favorite! Un-Inked Stamp week!

Go find that selection of stamps that you have on your shelf or in your drawers that have NEVER seen ink. We want to see them!

I went to my shelf and found Who’s That Harvesting Girl from MFT. I loved this stamp set when I saw it, but just haven’t found a chance to pull it out of the package and use it. I paired it with some really old SU DSP that is perfect for that sentiment, a button and some flowers from my stash and a piece of embossed cardstock that someone sent to me in a swap.

Let’s see your un-inked stamps. Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website before noon (PST) on Friday August 23, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE061 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

Happy Inking, Users!!
