TCCCB – Travel and/or Relaxing

Hello, welcome to the August 1st challenge with The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

Twice a month we roll out fantastic challenges for your to play along with and we work with great sponsors so you get to see art from a wide variety of talented artists.

Our challenge this fortnight is a combination of themes. The themes are travel and/or relaxing. You can use one or both in your entry.

The sponsor I’m working with this challenge is Mari’s Digis.  I went with the travel theme and chose Amo Viajar.

I decided to make a gatefold card. The image is the overlapped panel and I’ve kept the card closed with the hexagon in the upper right.

Come on and play in this great challenge! You can link up your entry over at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog from now through the middle of the month. Come and check us out!

TCCCB – Keep it Simple!

Hello, welcome to the July 1st challenge with The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

Twice a month we roll out fantastic challenges for your to play along with and we work with great sponsors so you get to see art from a wide variety of talented artists.

Our challenge this fortnight is a Keep it Simple! That’s right, make is a CAS (Clean and Simple) card for your entry!

The sponsor I’m working with this challenge is Mari’s Digi’s and I was thrilled to work with Super Girl Versao. To keep it simple, I decided to print the image right on my background paper and then sponge around it.

The sentiment was done using my MISTI, which allowed me to make sure it turned out nice and dark against the sponging. And then, a few lovely blue starts to finish it off.

Hello, welcome to the April 1st challenge with The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

Twice a month we roll out fantastic challenges for your to play along with and we work with great sponsors so you get to see art from a wide variety of talented artists.

Our challenge this fortnight is a Tic Tac Toe challenge. If you’re unfamiliar with how these work, just pick three in a row – across, down or diagonally – and make a card with those elements.  One twist on this version – you must use the centre square! Here is the game board:

The sponsor I’m working with this challenge is The Paper Nest Dolls. These are adorable, great quality digital stamps so you’ll want to check them out.  I couldn’t help but play with Sunshine Ellie. And, here’s my creation using the row – Yellow, Pattern Paper, Black.

TCCCB – Recycle Something!

Hello, welcome to the mid-month challenge with The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

Twice a month we roll out fantastic challenges for your to play along with and we work with great sponsors so you get to see art from a wide variety of talented artists.

Our challenge this fortnight is a Recycle Something! I took me awhile to figure out what to do for this one, so don’t be scared to play along. It doesn’t ahve to be something big, just something reused!

The sponsor I’m working with this time is QKR Stampede. Please swing by their website and thank them for supporting Sketch Saturday.

I have saved in my craft room, for too long, this paper bag that I received at a store. I love the vintage print on it, but never got around to creating with it! Today, I used it for both a background piece, and I made paper flowers from it!

TCCCB – Humourous

Hello, welcome to the February 1st challenge with The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

Twice a month we roll out fantastic challenges for your to play along with and we work with great sponsors so you get to see art from a wide variety of talented artists.

Our challenge theme this fortnight is Humourous. So, grab your puns, jokes and wise crack advice and let’s see ’em!

The sponsor I’m working with this challenge is My Stitch Back in Twine. I had the opportunity to play with Bite Me Lips.  This was great because it’s an image I wouldn’t normally pick, but I got to try some new techniques and playing with my gel pen for highlights. It turned out quite well!

To add the funny, I also paired it with a Riley and Company sentiment, which is quite perfect for this image!
