Sketch Saturday #463

Welcome back with another challenge at Sketch Saturday!

Today’s sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps, one of my favorite digi artists and a fellow Canadian! There is a fantastic variety of quality digital images on this site, so go on and check them out.

So, here is our sketch for the week:

I decided to work with Kidz – Ice Cream. I thought this would make a great birthday card image and since I have a little girl, that’s exactly what I did with it. Her next birthday isn’t for quite awhile, but we’ve got pretty much a million birthday parties to attend now that she’s in school, so this will get used up quickly, I’m sure.

As you can see, I twisted the sketch a bit (I’m a rebel that way). I meant to turn it for this image, but placed my “bits” in the same corners – so, I guess you can say that I stretched the sketch instead. I think you can still tell that I used the sketch, so we’ll call that okay.

Like me, feel free to rotate the sketch for your creation. Just as long as we can tell you were inspired by our Sketch! Get your fabulous creation linked up prior to the deadline on Friday (check the challenge page for the time in your zone) and be entered for a chance to win a prize from Bugaboo Stamps.

I’ll see you in two weeks with another Sketch Saturday challenge. Don’t forget, they play every week.

Sketch Saturday #461

Hello Everyone! Welcome to a new sketch challenge over at Sketch Saturday. Every Saturday a new sketch is posted and you have until Friday the following week to enter for a chance to win a prize from their terrific sponsors. We hope you’ll come play with us!

Today we are posting sketch number #461. But, the challenge is to use any previous sketch from #215 to #460.  The archives can be found on the blog on this page. There are so many great sketches to choose!

I decided to work with sketch #248. Our sponsor this week is Lemon Shortbread, who has pretty much the most adorable stamps ever. I might be saying that because I found this Rainy Days Girl with Umbrella in the inventory and umbrellas tend to make my heart sing…as does this adorable card!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you come and play along with us! One lucky challenge entrant will win a prize from our sponsor (and then maybe you’ll own this adorable stamp too!). Head on over to the Sketch Saturday blog to link up your new creation using the sketch. Good luck!

Sketch Saturday #459

Hello Everyone! Welcome to a new sketch challenge over at Sketch Saturday. Every Saturday a new sketch is posted and you have until Friday the following week to enter for a chance to win a prize from their terrific sponsors. We hope you’ll come play with us!

Today we are posting sketch number #459. Go ahead and rotate the sketch if you like, but we must be able to recognize the original sketch in your creation.

This weeks’ sponsor is Star Stampz. I found this adorable Balloons and Ice Cream image in their store and knew it was one I needed to play with!

I’m always happy when I can use up a piece of great scraps. This black and white paper was hanging out in my scrap stash and the perfect fit for this card. I quick touch of my red copic gives a random red heart background. The balloons have all been covered with glossy accents to make them shine.

Come and play along with us! One lucky challenge entrant will win a prize from our sponsor. Head on over to the Sketch Saturday blog to link up your new creation using the sketch. Good luck!

This weeks’ sponsor is MMedel Illustrations and I’m working with one of the cute kitties from the Kitties bundle. I had fun adding those purple background dots with my stickles!

Sketch Saturday #455

Hello Everyone! I am excited to say that I recently joined the Design Team over at Sketch Saturday.

Sketch Saturday runs weekly challenges, but I will be posting bi-weekly. Challenges are posted early Saturday morning and close the following Friday. I recommend you check the site to figure out the closing time in your own time zone.

Today we are posting sketch number #455. Go ahead and rotate the sketch if you like, but we must be able to recognize the original sketch in your creation.

Now, Sketch Saturday is also a sponsored blog, and the sponsor for this challenge is Fred She Said Designs. Thanks to their generosity, I get to play with the adorable Bunneh! digital stamp.

I had those beautiful floral papers sitting in my scrap box. They were hardly big enough to save, but so pretty. They turned out fabulously here, and I’m glad I got to use them one more time.

Come and play along with us! One lucky challenge entrant will win a $10 gift certificate to Fred She Said. Head on over to the Sketch Saturday blog to link up your new creation using the sketch. Good luck!

Sketch Saturday #453

Today I’m playing along with the Sketch Saturday team. I am thrilled to be joining this fantastic sketch team. I was hoping to get my card posted for the March 4th challenge in time, but alas, I was a day behind so I will settle for linking up instead.

By the looks of their archive, Sketch Saturday has been around for many years and has a great variety of sketches to play along with. Here is their sketch for this week:

I just happened to have one of their sponsor images, from Sasayaki Glitter Stamps. This is Baby Elly’s Birthday and she is sure fun to color up!

I hope you will come by and play with us. If you don’t want to be like me, then make sure you get your card linked up prior to the deadline on Friday (check the challenge page for the time in your zone) and be entered for a chance to win a prize from Sasayaki Glitter Stamps.

I’ll see you in two weeks with my regular (and on time) posting with the Sketch Saturday team.
