Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Hello Everyone! A happy Sunday to everyone. Today I am excited to be one of the stops on the Growing in Unity Blog Hop. Today’s hop features crafters who were featured as a Growing in Unity girl in May and June of this year.

This means another chance for prizes too! Two lucky commenters on the hop will will a prize pack from Unity. So, make sure you leave a comment on all the blogs, including the Unity blog. Winners will be announced on the Unity blog.

Once you’re done at my blog, head on over to the next stop, Linda’s blog.

I actually have two projects today. This first one turned out better than I ever expected. I had started this card for my Growing in Unity week back in May, but didn’t get it finished in time. Was I intimidated by the watercoloring? Perhaps. But, I went for it this time and look at it! This is Beach Girl and the sentiment comes from A Summer Story {KOM 5/16}.

My other card was also created from the A Summer Story {KOM 5/16} kit. The background was created with the florals in the kit. I then stamped the butterfly (lightly) onto the white paper and put the sentiment over top of it. It’s a great, simple thank you.

Don’t forget your comments! Here is the official hop order, just in case you get lost along the way.

Hop with Prickley Pear and CardMaker!

Hello Everyone!

Today we are having a Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and CardMaker Blog Hop featuring the Prickley Pear stamps released in May 2017! We’re thrilled to be partnering again with CardMaker and hop you’ll take the time to hop along with us.

You should have arrived here from Katie’s blog, but you can also head back to the very beginning at the CardMaker blog and make sure you didn’t miss anything.

Leave a comment on your way, including on the Prickley Pear blog at the end. One lucky commenter will receive a $20 gift certificate to Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Today I have a new project, but I also have a couple of projects from back in May during our New Release week.

This card has been sitting on my desk, partially finished for a few weeks. Finally got it done! The image is Large Birdhouse, but you can also get this cutie in a small size (check out the card on Heidi’s blog as you hop through to see the small size in action). The sentiment is from Row House Clear set.

Speaking of Row House, I love this adorable new set! The pieces are interchangeable, giving you multiple options and there are matching dies to cut even the ittiest of bits out.

And these adorable sheep are another favorite. Three barnyard animals now occupy the Prickley Pear Store – Prissy the Pig, Bessie the Cow and this image, Sammie the Sheep. There are a number of matching sentiments, including this one “I Miss Ewe”.

Check them all out in the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps New Release section.

Okay, now you’re on your way over to Rebecca’s blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop

Talk about cutting it close!

I’ve been meaning to participate in the Winter Coffee Lover’s Bloghop since it started earlier this month. But, this season has found me beyond swamped both at home and work and I just haven’t had a chance to sit down and create like I’ve wanted to.

Well, Christmas calendar’s finally completed last night, so tonight it was time to play. I believe there is about 2 hours left on the clock to submit my entry.

Tonight I’m playing with stamps from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. They have some great recently released clear sets perfect for the theme of this hop. And, because I haven’t played with watercoloring in a bit, I thought I’d do some tonight.

There are three sets I used for this card. The banner in the background comes from Christmas Banner Set and was stamped in versamark, then embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment comes from this same set.

The coffee cup images come from Coffee Cup Clear set and I used the matching die set as well. And finally, the swirly snowflakes come from Scalloped Oval 3 – Winter.

Thanks for stopping by!

Coffee Lovers Fall Blog Hop

Hey Everyone! Today is the start of the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Fall Blog Hop. I recently found this blog, and participated in their summer hop and it was alot of fun! So, since I heard that the fall hop was coming, I decided to work on a few creations.

Today I’ve used stamps from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. This is the Coffee Cup clear set, which has a matching die set. I’ve also used the Coffee Stain stamp on my background.

Sketch for this one came from the Paper Craft Crew (#116).

Come back tomorrow! I’ll have my regular post with Two Paper Divas, also an entry for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

I Got the Blues…Blog Hop with TCCCB

Welcome back to the 15th of the month challenge at  The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

But wait, we have something different this month! After all the hype and excitement of the holidays is long gone, sometimes January can be a real drag! So we’re making this challenge a “I Got the Blues” Design Team Blog Hop….with PRIZES!!

Hop, skip and click your way through our team. Leave a comment on each blog with the password (“January Blues”) and you have a chance to win one of four cool prizes. These prizes will be shipped internationally, so anyone can enter!

PLUS…there’s the usual prizes we offer for participating on our semi-monthly challenge. This month, create a project For a Male and link it up on the blogfor a chance to win these two additional prizes.

As is the usual drill here at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog, we have two wonderful sponsors being featured by the Design Team. My image this challenge comes from Moonflower digistamps.

Now choosing a male inspired image from MoonFlower was a challenge, but I found Gigi Flap Dancer in their selection and knew she was perfect! I tried to make a vintage inspired card. Did I pull it off?

Now, you’re off to Rebecca‘s blog for more great projects. If you get lost along the way, here is the complete hop list, in order. Don’t forget to leave a comment! The more you comment, they more you have a chance to win! (Psst, don’t forget the January Blues password).

After you’ve hopped your way through our projects, don’t forget to link up your own project For a Male at the Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog to be eligible for this weeks’ prize drawing.

See you again soon! And, cheers!

Use It Tuesday Blogiversary Winner

I’m so sorry that this post is late, Use It Tuesday fans. Come back in….about six hours…for what I think is a very valid excuse, as well as the next Use It Tuesday Challenge.

So, without further delay, I used Random.org to pick the winner who commented on my Use It Tuesday Blogiversary post before the deadline of February 24, 2012.  The winner on my blog won the “Primative Pitcher” digi stamp from my blogiversary sponsor, Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps.

Random.org went right to the bottom of the list and picked commenter #24, which was Olga. Olga also played along with the challenge and made this pretty pink birthday card. Love it!!

Olga, I will attempt to contact you shortly. If you see this post, please send me a comment with a way I can contact you and get you your prize.

Thanks everyone who play along with us!!

Welcome to the Hambo Stamps Blog Hop!

You may have noticed that I’ve been hooked on Hambo lately. I just love their cute stamps and funny sayings. When I was doing their Hambo Hoedown Challenge a couple of weeks ago, they were advertising a customer blog hop with the theme “Hamming It Up At the Movies”. I love blog hops and decided to challenge myself by signing up for this one. It’s not often I get to be a contributor. So, without much further adieu…

Welcome to “Hamming It Up At the Movies” sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo customers and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict movie titles! It might be our favorite movie, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Libby’s blog, then you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning, at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

Speaking of prizes, a prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all the blogs along the way, so don’t forget to leave me and the other participants a little word love along the way. In addition, I could be eligible for a prize, as one blog participant whose movie-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way will also be awarded a prize. How much fun is that!?!?! The winners will be announced on the Hoedown blog, as well as on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, May 25.

When I signed up for the blog, I struggled to find something movie related that might (hopefully) “wow” all you happy blog hoppers. Finally, inspiration hit and I’m pretty happy with this project! I present to you, my Hammin’ It Up at the Movies Popcorn Bucket, featuring a Jim Carrey movie theme. And, because movies are best enjoyed with a friend, I made two of them.

The first side of my popcorn buckets features Wee Henrietta Popcorn and her scrumptious bucket of butter popcorn. Like me, Henrietta’s ready for the movie marathon.

First movie, an old Jim Carrey classic, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Hambo has two stamps in their digital selection that helped me bring Ace Ventura: Pet Detective to life. First, was the stamp “Spy“, which made the perfect Ace, lurking around looking for those lost pets. And, since Ace is useless without a pet to detect, I also added a couple of Wee Doggies to keep him hunting.

I quickly want to mention that “Spy” comes with three sentiments for a mere $3.50. I used my editing program to separate the sentiments from the Spy for the purpose of this card.

Henrietta’s still got popcorn left at the end of Ace Ventura, so we pop in “The Truman Show”. I love “The Truman Show”!! In this reality show day and age, is the concept that far fetched? I hope so!!! One of my favorite “The Truman Show” scenes is at the end of the movie where Truman is trying to sail away from everyone. Hambo Stamps’ “Boat” made a perfect Truman. Doesn’t he look happy knowing freedom is just a short ways away?

Henrietta wouldn’t let me end our movie marathon without watching Man On The Moon (we did have to refill the popcorn by this time). As you can see, my representation of this movie title is a bit more literal with the stamp “Wee Henry Moon“. See Andy/Henry’s cute pink slippers?

I know this was a long post, but I’m so happy with the way this project turned out and so glad to share it with you. It was a lot of work to do a popcorn bucket template from scratch, design four sides and then repeat the process a second time. But I’m really happy with the result!

Now leave me some comment love so you can be eligible for the prize and then dance on over to Leslie’s blog, The Crooked Stamper, to check out her awesome movie scene! Take some popcorn along, if you want. ;0

Thanks for visiting. Have a good day, and if I don’t see ya, good evening and good night!

Here’s a few more pictures, just in case (like me) you didn’t quite get enough.
