Tess contacted me tonight asking if I wanted to craft a challenge! Um…YES!! First of all, it’s been a long time since Tess and I have crafted together (okay, virtually) and I had an interesting day at work!
I was awoken from my rather joyful slumber tonight at 4am by my co-worker. Together, we are responsible for our office Facilities and there was an alarm call…and for once, it wasn’t a false alarm! There was a fairly small fire onsite last night, but what really caused the issue is the sprinkler system that went off. Anyway, at 4am I was not sleeping, in the office and with extremely wet feet. Luckily, the disruption is manageable. We’re still doing some assessment and should have a clearer picture tomorrow when I get to work (hopefully at a more reasonable hour!).
So not only did I want to craft with Tess, but I wanted to make a thank you card for my co-worker for her great efforts last night.
Tess let me pick the challenge, so I picked the Retro Rubber Challenge (#82), which had a tic-tac-toe board this week. My selected row was THANKS – DIE CUT – YELLOW. And, here it is!

The image is one of my favs from Two Paper Divas, which closed about a year ago. My TPD stamps haven’t had much love since then, so it was a pleasure to pull it back out! I think I received this one in 2016.
The sketch on this one is from Paper Craft Crew (#284). I’m in their sneak peek Facebook group, so I got a jump start on their BEAUTIFUL layout this week!

I think the gumboots are a good choice after your fire-fighting office experience! The bright yellow paired with the purples is a cheerful combination. The die cut word with its shadowing really stands out. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber this week.
