Creating with Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps

Hey all! Thursday is post day over at the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps blog. You’ll find fantastic new projects from the Prickley Pear Design Team. We rotate weeks, so you’ll also find a post here from me once per month and today happens to be that day!

Since Christmas is upon us in just a few short days, I thought it appropriate to include a Christmas card in my post. This beautiful lady is a red rubber stamp called Hanging an Ornament. She is so much fun to color and I adore her! This card also uses the Scalloped Oval 3 – Winter clear set and the complimenting Scalloped Oval Die. For such intricate detail, this die cuts very nicely!

And, for my second card I went steampunk! This is not a style that is natural for me. But, Prickley Pear has a great selection of steampunk themed sets and I like the idea of layering them for interest.

The centrepiece on this one is the balloon, which comes from the Steampunk Gears 3 stamp set. The gears, the sentiment and the diamond background on the sentiment banner all come from the Gears 2 set. And, my life was made all the easier by with the matching Steampunk Gears and Hot Air Balloon die sets.
