Use It Tuesday #16 – Chocolate!!

It is again the last Tuesday of the month (can you believe it?!?). September is almost done, although you’d hardly know it with the 32C degree weather we had here today. Beautiful!

Anyway, this week’s Use It Tuesday challenge is….CHOCOLATE!!!

There’s lots you can do with this weeks theme. Check out the Design Team projects for a range of ideas. Perhaps you have a dog named Chocolate, similar to Haven. Or a chocolate themed stamp, like Sonya used. Nancy used the color chocolate for her project, while Papillon made her project look like chocolate (Mmmmm!!).

Then there’s me, who wanted to keep my chocolate safe! I made a Halloween themed box to hold some chocolate treats. I’m going to give it to one of my co-workers. My box was inspired by the Top Note Die box on Splitcoaststampers, but I love to make my own sizes and shapes, so this box has been custom designed to my preferred size.

I also decorated the back of the box, but with a flat image instead of a raised image so that the box will sit on someone’s desk nicely.

Here’s a picture showing the box partially opened…just so you know that there IS chocolate in there!

Hopefully this challenge won’t make you too hungry. Once you’ve finished your creation (and a little bit of chocolate), don’t forget to link it to the Use It Tuesday website using Inlinkz anytime before Friday October 7, 2011. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE016 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post on the Use it Tuesday site!)

Please make sure to mention in your post that you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating and also tell us what item from your stash you used to interpret our challenge. Remember, one crafter will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Now, get munching! (Uh, I mean, crafting.)
