Use It Tuesday #57…Masculine!

Tuesday again and it’s time for another fine Use It Tuesday challenge.

This week, we’re exploring our manly side. Show us your “MASCULINE” creations.

I have a card for you this week. I went through my stamps to look for something I haven’t used for awhile and pulled out SU’s “And Many Mower”. This card could be a Father’s Day card, or maybe a birthday. Versatility, I love it!

In addition to the forgotten stamp, I also used two pieces of ribbon from my “extras” pile and that button is from the “what do I do with this?” pile. Oh, and the scrap stash may have been raided for the background papers and bit of paper for my sentiment.

Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website before noon (PST) on Friday June 21, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE057 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**

See you again soon!

Use It Tuesday…Anything Goes!

Psst…before you go much further, don’t forget Use It Tuesday has a Design Team call going on right now…Check here for info and apply before May 31!

Hello! Today another Use It Tuesday challenge day. I’m sorry that I wasn’t here for last challenge, but life got a bit hectic!

What is our challenge this week? It’s “ANYTHING GOES“. We know this is a popular one, so we’ve been flexing our fingers and exercising those joints for commenting. Bring it on!

I have a layout for you this week. Odd, I know! I decided it was time that I update the frames that are in Claire’s room. I am not a scrapbooker, but I often think I want to be. So, over time I’ve collected many things that have never been used. The fabric thickers on this page are YEARS old. Same with the journaling tag. The border was given to me in a swap sometime last year and the handmade embellishments (bows and butterfly) were a gift last Christmas that I’ve never found the perfect home for.

Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website before noon (PST) on Friday June 7, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE056 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**

See you again soon!

Use It Tuesday Challenge #54: Flowers for Mom

Use It Tuesday time!! Are you excited? Because I AM!!

This week, we’re celebrating two things: 1) May flowers and 2) Mothers, with a challenge we’re calling “Flowers for Mom”. You can see from our DT inspiration that we want you to make a project with ONE OR BOTH of these elements.

I have a couple of Mother’s Day cards already to go from last year, so I chose to focus on the flowers portion of our challenge this week. These fun and glittery flower stickers have been in my stash for a long while. It was a pretty big package and while I’ve used them on and off over the years, now I’m ready to finish the package and move on to new things. I also used paper and ribbon from a card kit that had been partially used.

Now, show us your “Flowers for Mom”. Remember, you don’t have to use both elements, but at least one must be there. As well, don’t forget to tell us what part of your beautiful creation has come from your hoarded supplies.

Projects can be linked up to the Use It Tuesday website by noon (PST) on Friday May 3, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE054 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**

Have fun!

Challenge #53: Sticky Situation

I tried to find some “sticky” lyrics to lead of my post today…do you know how many songs there are with “stuck on you” in them? Lionel Ritchie, Elvis Presley, Sugarland (yeah okay, that’s stuck like GLUE. Close enough).

But back to the challenge. This week at Use It Tuesday, we’re getting sticky! Sticky Situation is our challenge this week, which means hauling out those stickers, rub-ons, embossing powder….anything that sticks.

I do not use stickers very often. But, I can’t seem to stay away from the really cute ones. Rub-ons are the same, although those I tend to acquire, not buy. (Where do they come from?) I used one of each for you here today.

The button flowers are a set of stickers. Loved these cute flowers! I was searching for something for this card and finally decided…I MUST use these! Best thing? I used the WHOLE package up (yay for me). The last two adorn the inside of my card. As for the rub-on, that’s my sentiment. Perfect match!

Next we shall talk about that woodgrain embossing folder I bought many moons ago and opened, just for this challenge!

You’re turn to get sticky. Once you’re done, link up your Sticky Situation: Stickers, Rub-ons, Embossing project to the Use It Tuesday website by noon (PST) on Friday April 19, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE053 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**

Have fun!

Challenge #52: All About Spring!

End of March…does that mean that, at last, spring is here? I sure hope so!

Here at Use It Tuesday, we thought we’d courage the season to come a bit faster with an All About Spring challenge!!

Flowers, birds, grass, outdoors, Easter…show it to us!

Here’s what I have for your this week:

I love this stamp…but I’ve had it for almost 2 years now and it has sat uninked!! Why? I do not know.

I also had those two flower pieces on my “reject pile”. Loved them and wanted to use them, but not sure how. They became my starting inspiration for this card.

Finally, I pulled the patterned papers out of my scrap bin. I have too many scraps, so it was great to use these up (and put nothing back in my bin).

Well, if you’re not to busy coaxing your tulips and daffodils to bloom, then make us a masterpiece and link up your All About Spring project to the Use It Tuesday website by noon (PST) on Friday April 5, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE052 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**

Happy Easter, Users!!

Use It Tuesday #51: Diecuts, Punches and Cut-outs

I hope you had a great time with our last Use It Tuesday challenge, the un-inked stamp challenge. It always seems to be a favorite. Now that challenge 50 is out of the way, we begin our ascent towards challenge #100. Remember, any time you want you can “like” our Facebook page and see what’s going on there!

This week’s Use It Tuesday challenge is Diecuts, Punches and Cut-outs. Perhaps you have an un-used diecut, an often forgotten punch, a cut-out shape that was wrong for one project but you keep it around “just in case”…pull it out today and USE IT!

This week, I decided to use some new diecuts. I purchased these Fishtail Flags and Rounded Banners from My Favorite Things  at the end of December in a Boxing Day sale (along with a few other dies). I couldn’t wait for them to arrive and then have barely cracked the packages. Both of these sets were unopened before this project.

I also used my SU Rounded Tab punch. I’m so glad I bought this before it retired. I often forget I have it, but it’s sure fun to use when I remember! Lastly, the papers, embellishments and image come from a card kit I received last year.

Link up your die-cuts, punches and cut-outs project to the Use It Tuesday website by noon (PST) on Friday March 22, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE051 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**

Before you go, here’s a quick view of the inside of my card.

See you again soon, friends!

Use It Tuesday #50: Uninked Stamp…Plus GOLD

Today’s challenge marks Use It Tuesday’s 2nd birthday and 50th challenge!!

Can you believe it? Whether you’re a loyal follower, here from Challenge #1 or just discovered us, we’re glad you’re here playing along with us.

This week, we want you to pull out those UN-INKED STAMP. We know this is a favorite theme, so there’s no excuse not to play along! And, since gold is the color for 50th anniversaries, we threw in a bonus for this 50th challenge. If you want (not required) use GOLD as well.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**

PLUS, we have another surprise for you. Use It Tuesday has a brand, spankin’ new Facebook page! The paint is barely dry on our wall, but we’re ready for you. So come on by, say hello and check out the extra inspiration we have for you there throughout the challenge.

Here we go with my creation for the week:

So, it’s not a 2nd birthday or a 50th anniversary card. That’s because it’s not for Use It Tuesday! My little girl, Claire, turned 1 this week. I made this card for her. She won’t know any different now, but I plan to put it away for her as a memento of her day. The uninked stamp is from CC Designs. I love this image very much, so not sure how that one got unused all this time! I also used the gold bonus with some gold layers and, of course, that gold embossing powder for my number 1. I just love how this turned out!

Okay, so us what you’ve got! Link up your project to the Use It Tuesday website by noon (PST) on Friday March 8, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE050 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

Hope to see you on Facebook this week, Users. Happy Crafting!

Use It Tuesday #49: Fasteners

Try and tell me that you don’t own a stock of buttons, brads and eyelets and I’ll have to tell you that your pants are on fire, liar. :)

I’ll believe you if you don’t have one…maybe two… but EVERYONE has to have at least one of those….or something else fascinating… I mean, that fastens.

That’s right, this week, Use It Tuesday wants to see your hoarded FASTENERS.

Fun Use It Tuesday Fact: Did you know, “Fasteners” was challenge #6 at Use It Tuesday, back in April 2011? For additional inspiration, you can check out the projects Siobhan, Sami and the Guest Designer made back then. And who was our Guest Designer back then? None other than Design Team Alumni Sonya of Sonya’s Paper Trail! We had 40 players for that challenge and there are a few names I recognize who are still playing along with us. Thanks so much!

Now here we are, 43 challenges later and getting ready to celebrate our 50th Challenge at Use It Tuesday!! On February 26th, we’ll celebrate our 50th challenge with a special announcement. Come on back and check us out then to see what the excitement is all about.

In the meantime, let’s not forget those fasteners! I have a small container of buttons that were the old Stampin Up retired colors. Unfortunately, I don’t have any matching papers for these colors so the buttons are used very infrequently. I’ve always admired cards that use buttons to make a shape on the front, so that’s why I decided to do. I suppose it doesn’t feel like Christmas anymore, but I made a Christmas card anyway!

Also hoarded here is the last sheet of Brilliant Blue paper (the only color match I still had) and I also dusted off my gold Pearl Pen, which has been totally underused since I got it.

Now it’s your turn to fascinate us with your fasteners. Link up your project to the Use It Tuesday website by noon (PST) on Friday February 22, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE049 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**

And, don’t forget to come back on February 26th for our 50th challenge!!

Have fun, Users!!

Use It Tuesday #48: Warm It Up, Red, Yellow and Orange

Welcome back to another Use It Tuesday!! I’m very excited about this challenge. It was alot of fun and the DT projects are FABULOUS!!

You might be lucky enough to live in the tropics. Or somewhere that’s warm this time of year. But I don’t. I live in the land of ice and snow and the end of January can be cold, dreary and depressing!!

So, we’re putting on our happy colors and WARMING IT UP! Please use Red, Yellow and Orange in your project this week. You don’t have to use them ALL, but use at least one and don’t forget to make it happy, vibrant and warm.

My main hoarded item this is this image. It actually isn’t that old; I got it just before Christmas from a fellow stampers. But, I colored it without having a use in mind for it (I was practicing for my Dhalia’s posted a couple of weeks ago). Since I don’t like to have unfinished pieces on my desk, I thought it looked warm and happy enough to use for today’s project.

I also added some scraps from my scrap bin and some rhinestones that have been around for a LONG time!

It’s bright and cheery, isn’t it?!?

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see all the submissions for this week! These colors look great together and I hope you have as much fun as I did using them.

Link up your “Red, Orange and Yellow” project to the Use It Tuesday website by Friday February 1, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use the keyword USE048 when uploading your project to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so that we can find your creation.

**Don’t forget, we ask that you please mention you’re playing along with us and tell us all about project supplies that come from your hoarded stash.**
